Data collection and use for contract processing and when opening a user account

We collect personal data if you voluntarily provide it to us when contacting us or registering for a user account (e.g. to register for an eSports racing series). The type of data collected results from the respective input fields, in which it is indicated in each case whether the information is voluntary or necessary to use our services. Nürburgring eRacing SA is entitled to transmit this data to and by third parties commissioned by it with the execution of the contract, insofar as this is necessary for the fulfilment of the concluded contracts.

When you register for a user account, we usually collect your name, date of birth, email address and telephone. You can also enter your address as well as billing and delivery address in your user account. As part of an order, we collect data about the goods you have selected, including the selected size, price information, vouchers you may use, billing and delivery address and the selected payment and shipping method. As part of the execution of the contract, we collect data in particular with regard to payment, delivery and returns. To receive our newsletter, you must provide your e-mail address; we also store information for your newsletter confirmation and your use of our information offers. As part of our customer service, we may collect further information about your concerns and how they are handled, including any correspondence regarding them.

We use the data provided by you to process your registration for a racing series and other inquiries. After complete fulfilment of the contract, your data will be stored until the expiry of the tax and commercial retention periods. Your data will only be used for other purposes if you have consented to the use of your data, if we are entitled or obliged to use it due to legal regulations or if we reserve the right to use data beyond this, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you below.

If you have created a user account, we will store your data as long as you maintain your user account. You can have your user account deleted at any time; please send us a message to the contact details given herein. In the event of deletion of your user account, we will only store the data concerned to the extent necessary for the fulfilment of a contract or as permitted or required by law.

In your user account you can manage your contact details and view your current registration for a racing series. Please treat your access data confidentially and do not pass on the password you have set to third parties. We are not liable for misuse of your password, and we are responsible for it. If you do not log out, you will remain logged in to our website until the end of your browser session. This allows you to use our website and the various functions without having to log in again. Please close your browser at the end of the session, especially if others have access to your computer. If you discover or suspect that a third party has had unauthorized access to your access data or is using your account, please change your password immediately and inform us by e-mail.

Data transfer for the fulfilment of the contract

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use the data required for this or separately provided by you to send you our e-mail newsletter in accordance with your consent. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time and can be done either by sending us a message or via an unsubscribe link provided for this purpose in the newsletter. Your data will not be passed on to third parties. The only exceptions are partner companies that are responsible for the technical processing of the newsletter dispatch. In these cases, however, the scope of the transmitted data is limited to the necessary minimum.

Use of data for e-mail advertising without newsletter registration and your right of objection

If we receive your e-mail address in connection with the sale of goods or services and you have not objected to this, we are entitled to regularly send you offers for similar goods and services, such as those you have purchased from our offer by e-mail. You can object to this use of your e-mail address at any time for the future by sending us a message or via the unsubscribe link provided for this purpose in our e-mail without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates.

Use of data for postal advertising and your right to object

We are legally entitled to store your first and last name, your postal address and, if applicable, your title and academic degree and to use them for our own advertising purposes, in particular for sending offers and information about our goods and services by letter post. You can object to this use of your data at any time for the future by sending us a message without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates.

Credit check and scoring

We do not carry out a credit check ourselves and do not use our own credit scoring. However, a credit check and scoring may be carried out by the payment service providers selected by you as part of the ordering process. For the processing of payments, the respective contractual provisions of the payment service providers and the data protection provisions defined by them apply.

Use of cookies

In order to make your visit to our website as attractive as possible and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session, i.e. after closing your browser ("session cookies"). Other cookies remain on your device and enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and decide individually about their acceptance or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. If you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use individual functions of our website or the use may be restricted.

Children's Personal Information

Since the protection of children's privacy is of great importance, we do not want to collect, process or use personal data of persons under the age of 18. If you, as a legal guardian, learn that your children have transmitted their personal data to us, you can contact us via the addresses given in the imprint if you want the data to be deleted.

Unique identification numbers in hyperlinks

Our e-mail communication may contain so-called hyperlinks ("links") containing random but unique identification numbers. We (or third party service providers who work for us, such as web analytics service providers) may collect and store these identification numbers when your computer accesses these links to retrieve additional information from our servers. The identification numbers in these links will not be merged with your name, address, or other personally identifiable information unless you have expressly allowed us to send you information specifically tailored to your interests. We use these links and information about the requests you make to understand your use of our emails and our website and to record and measure the success of certain marketing measures. We use this information to improve our website and our e-mail newsletters, in particular by adapting our information and offers to the individual interests and needs of users.

External service providers

For certain activities in connection with our website and our e-mail communication, we have commissioned external service providers (e.g. data centres). These service providers process data exclusively in accordance with our instructions, are also bound by this privacy policy and are controlled by us. Under no circumstances may these service providers use data they have collected or processed on our behalf for their own purposes.

Use of GOOGLE Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:

Browser add-on to disable Google Analytics (BETA)

We would like to point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code "gat._anonymizeIp();" to ensure anonymous collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

Use of social plugins

Social plugins from various social Internet networks (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Xing or Pinterest) are integrated into our websites. These allow you to bookmark these pages and share these bookmarks with other participants of the social networks. You can recognize social plugins by the logos that can be viewed on the websites of the social Internet networks.

If you visit a website on our website that contains these social plugins, a direct connection is established with the servers of the social Internet networks and from there the image of the plugin visible to you and the underlying functions is transmitted directly to your browser, which integrates them into the presentation of our website. If you are logged in to the social Internet network with your user name and password at this time, the information that you are visiting our site will be transmitted there and can be assigned to your user account there. If you interact with the social plugins, e.g. share one of our pages or use the Facebook "Like" or "Share", the Pinterest "Pin-it" or the Twitter "Tweet This" function, the contents of our pages are linked to your profile in the social Internet network. If you are not a member of the social Internet networks or have logged out of the providers before visiting our shop, it is still possible that at least your IP address will be transmitted and stored there.

We would like to point out that different data protection guidelines and liability regulations apply to these linked third-party websites. The storage and use of data by the site operator, which accrues when using these linked pages, may exceed the scope of this data protection declaration. The further processing on the connected social Internet networks, storage periods as well as the purpose of use is determined exclusively by these providers.
